Waitkoff's Word Sepember 11th-15th

This week our class is honoring those lost during the September 11th attacks. We are reading texts that discuss and remember the people who helped our country move past this terrible time. Students are gaining more understanding of the meaning of our American Flag and what it represents to our country. We will continue learning about our country along with our Social Studies unit on where we are located in the world. We will continue this for about one more week and take the test on Friday, September 22nd. The students have a study guide behind their Social Studies tab in their binder. They will be graded on correct answers and spelling. The test will include our galaxy, planet, continent, country, state, county, city, address, phone number, and name. Please practice these at home daily so that the test will come easy next week. As always, students should be reading and quizzing on AR weekly. At this point, students should have at least 11 to 12 AR points with a 85% accuracy.
